Focus is specifically on issues related to the establishment of small business enterprises and particular issues related to managing them. This course employs the knowledge already acquired in the Undergraduate Program disciplines (OA, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, etc.) and applies it to case analysis and to the study of existing small businesses in Alberta. Students should be prepared to visit small business sites and to prepare case analyses of their management systems. Prerequisites: SMO 201, 301 or 310. Open to third- and fourth-year students.
