Prerequisite: GERM 111 or consent of Department. Note: not to be taken by students with native or near native proficiency, or with German 30 or its equivalents in Canada and other countries. A high-intermediate to advanced-level course intended to improve overall proficiency in spoken and written German. Prerequisite: GERM 212 or consent of Department. Note: not to be taken by students with native or near native proficiency.
Theories, methods, and strategies of translation in a variety of genres. Prerequisite: GERM 342 or consent of Department. This course can also be applied to the MLCS Certificate in Translation Studies.
