Overview
About
Gabriela holds a BSc PT from University of Sao Paulo, Brazil and a MSc in Exercise Science from Concordia University, Canada. She obtained her physiotherapy equivalence in Canada in 2009. Since then, she has worked in both the French and English environments, in different areas, including acute care, outpatient neurological rehabilitation and return to work. She joined the University of Alberta in 2013 as a teaching assistant for the Internationally Educated Physiotherapist Bridging Program while continuing to do clinical work. In 2016 Gabriela joined the University of Alberta as a full-time Instructor at the Calgary Satellite.
Research
Research interests: neurological rehabilitation and community integration.

PTHER 565 - Aging and Physical Therapy
An examination of age-related changes, prevalent age-related conditions treated by physical therapists and contextual factors that influence the activity and participation of older adults. Prerequisites: PTHER 538, 544, and 566. Corequisite: PTHER 546.
