I'm a mineralogist with a background in exploration for both gold and diamonds, and currently run the Electron Microprobe Laboratory. My research interests include the compositions and classification of rock-forming minerals, the mineralogy of uranium, the crystal structures of minerals and inorganic materials, and the mineralogy of alkaline intrusions.
Course will cover analytical techniques such as probe. SEM, XRD, TIMS/gas source mass spectrometry, superpress, XRF, ICP-MS, TEM, NMR, SHRIMP and microthermometric techniques. [Faculty of Science]
