About
I am a Professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Alberta and Director of the Baikal-Hokkaido Archaeology Project. My research interests include archaeology of individual life histories; carbon, nitrogen, and strontium isotope analyses; mobility and migrations; diet; subsistence; population size and distribution; and mechanisms of cultural transmission.

Introduction to the nature, purposes, theory and methods of anthropological archaeology. Emphasis on principles of reconstruction of past societies from archaeological evidence and the explanation of cultural evolution.
