About
I am a Sociology PhD student at the University of Alberta with a PhD in History from Renmin University of China. My research spans state power and governance in pre-1949 China, as well as contemporary social life under shifting political conditions. Currently, I employ a digital sociology framework to study Chinese women’s transnational communities of practice in diasporic contexts. I have expertise in applying the Kaozheng School’s approach to oral history, which integrates archival analysis with interview data to generate critical insights.
