Overview
About
My primary research interest centers on entrepreneurship as a tool to address social and environmental issues, particularly studying renewable energy ventures in Kenya, in the energy access space. In a second stream of research, I also study entrepreneurship in institutionally challenging contexts, specially in contexts of poverty, necessity, and marginalisation. I like to describe my taste for methods as "eclectic" ranging qualitative case studies to econometrics and spatial data science. I have had the chance to spend time at the University of Alberta in Canada and at Indiana University Kelley School of Business in the US. I was also awarded the prestigious Chevening Scholarship Award and study grants from the US Department of State, the Coca-Cola Company, and the German Academic Exchange Network (DAAD).
