About
Dr. Javad Bolboli is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alberta. He received his Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence and has developed expertise in IoT/IIoT, embedded systems, robotics, sensor fusion, and intelligent manufacturing systems. He also serves as Program Committee Chair for the Prairie Advanced Manufacturing Meeting (PAAM 2025) and the 19th CIRP Conference on Computer-Aided Tolerancing.
Dr. Bolboli brings strong industrial experience, having led cross-functional teams, managed complex projects, and developed innovative systems. He is currently leading a Mitacs-funded collaboration between the University of Alberta and Durabuilt Windows and Doors. His research interests include smart manufacturing, Industrial IoT, digital twins, and artificial intelligence.
He has published extensively in leading IEEE journals and has received multiple awards, including the Outstanding Ph.D. Graduate Recognition and several research excellence scholarships.
