Overview
About
After completing my medical degree at Queen’s University, I completed residencies at the University of Alberta in Internal Medicine and Nephrology in 2004. I have a full clinical practice in Edmonton which includes clinical teaching at the Grey Nuns Hospital. I am a Clinical Professor in the University of Alberta’s Division of Nephrology.
Leadership and Collaborations
Outside of clinical medicine, I have a passion for professional regulation and advocacy. In the Fall of 2026 I will officially assume the position of President-Elect of the Alberta Medical Association (AMA). Currently, I am a member of the Negotiations Committee of the AMA, am President of the AMA's Section of Nephrology and the Section's Representative Forum Delegate. I previously served a two year term as Council President of the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) and was a member of the CPSA’s Complaint Review Committee and Hearing Tribunals. I was Facility Chief for the Grey Nuns Hospital’s Department of Medicine from 2009 to 2015.
Clinical Interests
I am an attending physician on the Clinical Teaching Units at the Grey Nuns Hospital and provide both inpatient and outpatient Nephrology consultation services.
