My research  focuses on digital culture and history, critical internet studies, film and media, postfeminist and postracial discourses. I am currently finishing a book on the history of personalization technologies and the role recommendations play within digital culture. 

I teach many of the media studies and digital culture courses in English and Film Studies, including courses on Social Media, Interactive Fiction, Video Games and Media Convergence.
