About me:

 

Camila completed her undergraduate dental studies in Brazil and completed an Oral Radiology specialty program a few years later. She obtained various degrees including an MBA with a specialization in Health Management, her first Master's (MSc) in Dental Sciences focusing on Airway and Adenoid hypertrophy followed by a Ph.D. in Oral Diagnosis investigating the Trabecular Bone pattern of systemic diseases. Later on, she completed a second MSc degree and Certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at the prestigious University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio - Texas, United States. Finally, she moved back to Edmonton bringing to Canada prestigious accomplishments. Dr. Pacheco-Pereira teaches undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education courses. She is appointed as the Advanced Imaging director at the School of Dentistry.

 

Camila is proud to be one of the few board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologists in Alberta. Her research focuses on advanced imaging modalities as adjunct tool for diagnosis. Her interest focus in generating good translational research to help the clinician and the Oral Radiology education.

DENT 607 - Advanced Oral Radiology

This lecture and seminar course will review the application of the various imaging modalities, including advanced modalities, in oral and maxillofacial radiology. Emphasis will be placed on the interpretation of abnormalities of the oral and maxillofacial region that may be encountered in the dental specialties.
