About
I received my BSc in Nursing in 2006 from the University of Alberta and focused my clinical practice in Neonatal Intensive Care at the University of Virginia Children's Hospital and the Royal Alexandra Hospital. I returned to the UofA in 2019 to complete the Master of Nursing Program and graduated with an Embedded Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Nursing Education December 2022. I currently work as a Research Parner in the College of Health Sciences, with a portfolio supporting research from the Faculty of Nursing and the Climate Change & Health Hub.
Research
My masters work focused on the creation of a learner-centered planetary health module for undergraduate nursing students. As a Research Assistant at the University of Alberta and University of Saskatchewan, I helped carry out nursing research projects in Healthy Aging, Mental health and Planetary Health. I continue to support planetary health education for nurses through my involvement with the Canadian Association of Nurses for the Environment and Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing Planetary Health Nurse Educator Interest Group.
