About
Dr. Ève Boissonnault is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Alberta and a physiatrist at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital, specializing in post-stroke rehabilitation and advanced spasticity management.
She completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Université de Montréal, followed by specialized subspecialty training in spasticity and neurorehabilitation in British Columbia under Dr. Paul Winston and Dr. Rajiv Reebye. Prior to joining the University of Alberta, Dr. Boissonnault served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Université de Montréal, contributing to the physiatry service at the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM), the spasticity clinic at Villa Medica Rehabilitation Hospital, and the Institut universitaire sur la réadaptation en déficience physique de Montréal (IURDPM).
Her research focuses on the multimodal management of spasticity, ultrasound evaluation of spastic muscle architecture, and the development of innovative treatments—including cryoneurolysis and targeted ultrasound-guided procedures.
