Research
Dr. Eliason is currently working with the Glenrose Health Improvement Team on a quality improvement project called the Pediatric Interdisciplinary Neurodevelopmental Clinic (PINC).
Her team is creating a new model of developmental clinical services based on concepts from the World Health Organization International Classification of Functioning (WHO-ICF). Her team is implementing a model of care to prioritize meeting individual and family needs to support functioning and participation, rather than on providing supports based solely on diagnosis.
Goals of this model of service delivery are to improve health equity, to improve efficient use of health resources and to shift the dialogue on disability to one of what kids "can" do (functioning and participation).
