About
I am a Postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Alberta, Canada. I obtained my Ph.D. from the Concordia Institute for Information Systems Engineering (CIISE), Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. Before enrolling in the Ph.D. program, I was a lecturer at Taif University, Saudi Arabia. I taught undergraduate computer science courses—object oriented programming, data structure and algorithms, distributed systems, artificial intelligence, and discrete mathematics. Furthermore, I obtained a Master of Technology degree from the International Institute of Information Technology – Bangalore (IIIT-B), India.
Research
My interest is in performing research that leads to excellent theories and exciting applications. I am broadly engaged with distributed optimization, federated optimization, differential privacy, Internet-of-things, federated learning, and algebraic structures.

Data structure and algorithms, Discrete mathematics, Object oriented programming, Distributed systems, Artificial intelligence.
