Dr. Chow was born and raised in Vancouver, BC where she completed most of her early schooling.  She obtained her medical degree from UBC’s Faculty of Medicine, and she completed her dermatology residency training at the University of Alberta.  Since finishing her dermatology residency and becoming a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, she has worked as a medical dermatologist in Edmonton, Alberta.  She has held a University of Alberta appointment since 2012. 

 Her interests are in general dermatology, pigmented lesions, melanoma, and hair diseases.  She enjoys being part of medical education and regularly teaches medical students and residents in the clinics and in the classroom.  

 She was given the award "Canadian Skin Patient Alliance Dermatologist of the Year" for 2019, which is the highest honour bestowed by the CSPA on one exceptional dermatologist each year.
