About

Dr Fabiana Almeida Marques is an Assistant Professor at the School of Dentistry, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Alberta. She is an oral and maxillofacial specialist who teaches Oral Radiology to DDS and DH undergrad students and the Advanced Oral Radiology course to graduate students of the clinical programs. She is currently the Discipline Lead of Undergrad Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, Director of the DDS 525 Diagnosing and managing Oral Diseases multidisciplinary course and the Director of the UG Research Initiative Program, School of Dentistry. Her research interests involve Advanced Imaging modalities (CBCT, MRI and Ultrasound) applied to diagnosis in Dentistry, TMJ imaging and artificial intelligence applied to diagnostic imaging. More specifically, she works on TMJ arthritis image diagnosis and Ultrasound in dentistry.
