Professional Interests

Dr. Forhan is interested in improving the quality of rehabilitation for patients with obesity. Her research areas of interest are focused on bariatric rehabilitation with a goal to develop the capacity to provide evidence-based rehabilitation for patients with multiple chronic health conditions including obesity and to improve access to health care by reducing weight bias and discrimination.

Research

Dr. Forhan is leading a program of research focused on improving the care and rehabilitation outcomes of patients with obesity.

Teaching

Foundations of Mental Health, Occupational Therapy, Obesity and Chronic Disease Management 

Dr. Forhan currently has openings for students interested in pursuing a master's degree or PhD in rehabilitation science.
