About
Education
- Doctor of Philosophy, Physical Ocean Modelling, Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, University of Alberta, 2020.
- Master of Science, Physical Ocean Sciences, Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, University of Alberta, 2015.
- Bachelor of Science, Specialization in Atmospheric Sciences. University of Alberta, 2013.
Research
As a physical ocean modeller, my research interests include the ocean's impact on the climate in high latitudes (e.g. Greenland, Arctic, and the North Atlantic regions). My research focuses on the interconnections between the ocean and the cryosphere (the impact of glacier melt and icebergs on the ocean and the impact ocean heat can have on glaciers).
Teaching
- Sessional Instructor, EAS373: The Climate System, University of Alberta, Faculty of Science, Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. 2022.
Guest Lecture
- Guest Lecture, EAS471: Atmospheric Modelling, Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Faculty of Science, University of Alberta, 2019.
- Guest Lecture, EAS212: The Oceans, University of Alberta, Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Faculty of Science, University of Alberta, 2015 - 2019.

Courses
EAS 212 - The Oceans
An introduction to the physics and chemistry of the oceans. Topics covered include ocean currents, the ocean floor, origins and buffering of the chemistry of the oceans. The role of the oceans in determining past and present climates is introduced. Prerequisite: Any 100-level Science course. [Faculty of Science]
