Dr. Jay Kassiri is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics (Neurology) at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry.
Research
Dr. Kassiri leads the Female Adolescent Epilepsy Multidisciplinary (FAME) Clinic and co-leads the comprehensive epilepsy program in pediatrics. She actively engages in clinical research to understand treatment algorithms and clinical pathways for pediatric status epilepticus. Additionally, her work focuses on optimizing care for female adolescents with epilepsy and developing treatment pathways for surgical interventions for patients with medically refractory epilepsy. Furthermore, she participates in multiple clinical trials for treatment-resistant epilepsy, including those related to Dravet syndrome.
