About
Dr. Youn joined the University of Alberta after completing postdoctoral research at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).
His research focuses on wearable haptic devices, soft robotic systems, and dexterous human–robot interaction. His work explores novel sensing and actuation technologies for bidirectional haptic teleoperation, robotic manipulation, and human augmentation.
