About

Dr. Chen received his MD degree at the University of British Columbia. Training in Internal Medicine and subspecialty training in Infectious Diseases followed at the University of Alberta. He is an assistant clinical professor and has been on staff at the University of Alberta Hospital since 2017.

In 2018, Dr. Chen established the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program for the University of Alberta Hospital as the Site Medical Director.

Teaching

Dr. Chen is involved with the undergraduate and post-graduate medical education programs focused on antimicrobial stewardship education. He is a member of the Adult Infectious Diseases Residency Training Committee and the Core Internal Medicine Residency Program Committee. Dr. Chen precepts ID subspecialty residents in their longitudinal clinic.
