About
Dr. Dong completed her RCPSC emergency medicine training at the University of Alberta in 2004 and a Masters in Population Health in 2007. She went on to complete additional training and certification in addiction medicine. She is the Social Accountability Lead for the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry and an addiction medicine physician at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.
Research
Dr. Dong is an Associate Scientific Director of the Inner City Health and Wellness Program. Her research focuses on improving health care access and outcomes for people who use substances accessing care in emergency department and hospital settings.
Teaching
Dr. Dong provides bedside clinical teaching while on clinical service. She also provides didactic teaching on an as requested basis.
