The transcendent visual experience is an essential feature of the human condition. The focus in my own studio practice is to come to an understanding of that experience and to create vehicles that engage and enable such experiences. 

Teaching

I focus on getting students to build an intellectual mindset that is open to the depth and mystery of the visual experience and to build a skill set that will enable them to communicate that experience and perhaps construct such an experience.
