About
Kyleigh P. McAlister is a second-year Master’s student in the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Alberta and a Graduate Research Assistant in the Dash Lab. Her research explores Indigenous perspectives on language, culture, and cognition, with a focus on how cultural engagement and bilingualism shape cognitive processes. As part of her work, Kyleigh is committed to community-based, collaborative approaches that center Indigenous knowledge systems and support culturally grounded research practices.

INT D 408 - Interprofessional Health Education Elective
Application of interprofessional competencies within a specific health care context. Content topics vary from year to year. Topics announced prior to registration period. The student's transcript carries title descriptive of content. May be repeated. Prerequisite or corequisite: INT D 403, or equivalent introductory interprofessional health education course, or approval of Health Sciences Education and Research Commons, Health Sciences Council. REHAB 502 - Indigenous Health - Interprofessional Practice
This course is offered in response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada: Calls to Action. Students will be introduced to contemporary issues, cultural safety and interprofessional practices relevant to Indigenous health in Canada.
