About

Mohamed Abdalla is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Alberta. Previously, he was an Assistant Scientist at the AI Deployment and Evaluation (AIDE) Lab in the Institute for Better Health at Trillium Health Partners. He earned his PhD in Computer Science from the Natural Language Processing Group (Department of Computer Science) at the University of Toronto where he was a Vanier Scholar.

Main research interests are: 

1) Clinical AI 

2) Natural Language Processing

3) AI Ethics
