Aatif Hussain

Dr. Aatif Hussain is currently appointed as Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry. He has been serving the role of Program Director for the Geriatric Medicine Residency Program since 2019. His primary area of clinical interests includes cognitive disorders, frailty, polypharmacy and acute inpatient management of older adults in addition to resident education. He serves a primarily clinical role, with the majority of time spent at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton (inpatient acute care of the elderly unit as the most responsible physician, inpatient and ER consultation work) as well as an outpatient practice at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital Seniors Clinic and a rural outreach clinic in Fort Saskatchewan through the Sherwood Park Primary care network.
