Active Areas of Research:

  • molecular electronics, including transport of electrons through metal/molecule/metal and metal/molecule/metal oxide/metal molecular junctions
  • in-situ Raman, FTIR, and UV-Vis spectroscopy of molecular electronic devices
  • integration of molecular electronic devices with conventional CMOS microelectronics
  • surface spectroscopy, particularly of adsorbates on carbon and metal electrodes
  • relationships between electrode surface structure and electron transfer reactivity
