About

I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Alberta, Canada. I completed my Ph.D. in Engineering Management from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alberta. I also hold an M.Sc. and a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET), Bangladesh.


Research

  • Renewable Energy and Optimization Expertise: Extensive experience in renewable energy supply chain modeling, techno-economic analysis, and multi-objective optimization, with a focus on developing decision-support tools for energy and waste management systems.

  • Biomass and Machine Learning Applications: Conducted biomass availability assessments and forecasting using machine learning algorithms, integrating spatial, temporal, and economic parameters to support sustainable bioenergy planning.

  • GIS and Spatial Optimization: Applied GIS-based modeling to map biomass resources, determine optimal biorefinery locations, and design efficient transportation and logistics networks for bioenergy supply chain.

  • Life Cycle Assessment and Process Modeling: Skilled in conducting Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Techno-Economic Analysis (TEA), and simulation-based process modeling to evaluate the sustainability and feasibility of emerging energy technologies.

  • Advanced Technical Skills: Proficient in Python, MATLAB, GAMS, and AMPL. Experienced in statistical data analysis and operations research to develop innovative, data-driven solutions for sustainable logistics and energy systems.

  • Collaborative Project Leadership: Successfully led multidisciplinary projects in collaboration with organizations such as Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), Suncor Energy, and IEA Bioenergy. Delivered technical reports, conference presentations, and strategic insights contributing to Canada’s energy transition.

  • Sustainability Focus: Dedicated to advancing sustainability through integrated LCA, GHG footprint assessments, and biomass modeling, promoting environmentally responsible and economically efficient decision-making.
