About
I am an MSc student in Structural & Pipeline Engineering at the University of Alberta, conducting research under the supervision of Prof. Samer Adeeb and in collaboration with Dr. Hassan Dehghanpour. My current research focuses on hydrogen embrittlement and fracture toughness evaluation of pipeline steel, with emphasis on CTOD/CMOD measurements, SENT specimens, and Digital Image Correlation (DIC) techniques.
I completed my BSc in Civil Engineering (2021) from Ain Shams University, where I specialized in Coastal Engineering. My academic background spans structural mechanics, pipeline engineering, materials behavior, and data-driven sensing for structural health monitoring.
Alongside my academic path, I have professional experience in engineering design, numerical modeling, and entrepreneurship. I am passionate about the structural integrity of energy systems and contributing to the safe transition toward hydrogen-based infrastructure.
