About

Morteza Esteki received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bonab, Iran, in 2012, and his M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology, Iran, in 2015. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Energy Systems at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, AB, Canada. From 2015 to 2019, he worked as a Research Assistant and Laboratory Engineer in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Isfahan University of Technology. He has authored or coauthored more than 30 technical papers published in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. His research interests include high-frequency, high-power-density DC–DC, AC–DC, and DC–AC converters, renewable energy systems, and advanced modeling and control techniques. He has received several awards and scholarships, including the Second Place Prize Paper Award from IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics (2024), Alberta Graduate Excellence Scholarship (2024), Dr. William Youdelis Graduate Scholarship in Engineering (2023), Alberta Innovates Graduate Scholarship (2021–2023), Dr. William Youdelis Graduate Scholarship in Engineering (2021), Alberta Graduate Excellence Scholarship (2020), and the Best Master of Science Thesis Award in Electrical and Computer Engineering in Iran, awarded by the IEEE Iran Section (2016).
