About
Dr. Mohammad Ashif Rahman is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Alberta. He is a geriatrician with clinical roles at the Royal Alexandra Hospital and Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital, where he provides care for older adults across acute care, rehabilitation, and outpatient settings. His interests include improving the quality and delivery of geriatric care through clinical innovation, collaboration, and education.
Research
Dr. Rahman’s academic interests include delirium and cognitive disorders, quality improvement, and models of care for older adults. His work includes clinical and educational initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes and advancing the care of older adults.
Teaching
Dr. Rahman is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education at the University of Alberta. He serves as Clerkship Coordinator for Specialized Geriatrics (MED 555) and contributes to curriculum development, learner mentorship, faculty teaching, and medical education initiatives.
