About
Dr. Matthew Morrissette is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Alberta and Zone Clinical Department Facility Chief for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Stollery Children's Hospital.
Dr. Morrissette completed medical school at the University of Manitoba in 2013, where he also went on to complete his psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry subspecialty residency training. His clinical work currently focuses on pediatric emergency psychiatry and the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders for children and youth, including repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS). He has served on committees of the Canadian Psychiatric Association and Canadian Paediatric Society, and currently holds the position of Secretary with the Canadian Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Dr. Morrissette is actively involved in the supervision of medical students and residents at the University of Alberta, where he is the Chair of the Competence Committee for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Subspecialty Residency Program. His research interests include medical education issues.
