About
I received my doctoral degree in inorganic coordination chemistry at the Department of Chemistry at University of Technology in Germany and moved on for a postdoc in radiochemistry at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis in the United States. After my return to I was introduced to electrophysiology for one year at the Department of Pharmacy at the University of Leipzig and continued research in the field of of the lower urinary tract at the Medical School of Dresden University of Technology finishing with a doctoral equivalent degree in pharmacology. In 2008 I have started my current position as the Manager of the Preclinical PET facility here at the Division of Oncologic Imaging in the field of radiopharmacology.
Research
My research interests are focused on the preclinical in vitro and in vivo assessment of novel PET radiotracers as well as the evaluation of novel and standard clinical PET radiotracers such as [18F]FDG, [18F]FLT, [18F]FAZA, [64Cu]ATSM, [11C]choline etc. in different preclinical tumor models in vivo. Recent research efforts include PET imaging of breast, prostate, ovarian and colon cancer as well as a model of renal cell carcinoma.
