About
Omex Mohan is a doctoral student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alberta in Canada. He has a solid educational background, holding a Master's degree in Thermal Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.
His research interests are centred around the flow dynamics of biomass slurry suspensions and the thermochemical conversion of biomass residues through processes such as pyrolysis and hydrothermal liquefaction. Additionally, he is interested in the densification of waste residues through pelletizing.
Aside from his experimental research, Omex also has a keen interest in modelling, specifically in machine-vision-based image processing for size characterization, neural network modelling for parameter prediction, and techno-economic modelling.
