About
Dr. Pallavi Parashar is a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Pathologist. She received her Dental Degree in India, after which she completed a residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at University of Maryland, Baltimore. She was awarded a DDS degree at University of Colorado after she completed the Advanced Standing Program for International Dentists.
Dr. Parashar currently co-directs the Oral Medicine Graduate Program at the University of Alberta. She specializes in Clinical and Microscopic diagnosis of Oral Pathology. She is passionate about her profession and is actively involved in research activities.

DENT 505 - General and Oral Pathology I
A review of diseases of the oral and maxillofacial region and an exploration of recently acquired knowledge pertaining to them. Acquire a basic understanding of general pathology principles as it relates to oral diseases.
DENT 506 - General and Oral Pathology II
A review of diseases of the oral and maxillofacial region and an exploration of recently acquired knowledge pertaining to them. Acquire a basic understanding of general pathology principles as it relates to oral diseases. Prerequisite: DENT 505.
DENT 514 - Oral Medicine Clinics I
Introduction to clinical experience in the assessment and evidence-based management of oral lesions and oral manifestations of systemic diseases.
DENT 515 - Oral Medicine Clinics II
Supported clinical experience in the assessment and evidence-based management of oral lesions and oral manifestations of systemic diseases. Prerequisite: DENT 514.
DENT 608 - Advanced Oral Pathology I
A histology-based course to help the student understand clinicopathologic correlations in diagnosis and evidence-based management of oral disease.
DENT 609 - Advanced Oral Pathology II
A hist-based course to help the student understand clinicopathologic correlations in diagnosis and evidence-based management of oral disease. Prerequisite: DENT 608
DENT 614 - Oral Medicine Clinics IV
Guided clinical experience in the assessment and evidence-based management of oral lesions or oral manifestations of systemic diseases for a beginner second year student. Prerequisite: DENT 519.
DENT 615 - Oral Medicine Clinics V
Guided clinical experience in the assessment and evidence-based management of oral lesions or oral manifestations of systemic diseases for a second year student. Prerequisite: DENT 614.
DENT 623 - Oral Medicine Seminars I
Seminars (including Journal Club) focusing upon the assessment and evidence-based management of oral diseases or oral manifestations of systemic diseases.
DENT 624 - Oral Medicine Seminars II
Seminars (including Journal Club) focusing upon the assessment and evidence-based management of oral diseases or oral manifestations of systemic diseases. Prerequisite: DENT 623.
DENT 714 - Oral Medicine Clinics VII
Mentored clinical experience in the assessment and the evidence-based management of oral lesions and oral manifestations of systemic diseases for a beginner third year student. Will include off-service experiences in relevant medical disciplines. Prerequisite: DENT 619.
DENT 715 - Oral Medicine Clinics VIII
Mentored clinical experience in the assessment and the evidence-based management of oral lesions and oral manifestations of systemic diseases for a third year student, in preparation of independent practice. Will include off-service experiences in relevant medical disciplines. Prerequisite: DENT 714.
DENT 723 - Oral Medicine Seminars III
Seminars (including Journal Club) focusing upon the assessment and evidence-based management of oral diseases or oral manifestations of systemic diseases. Prerequisite: DENT 624.
DENT 724 - Oral Medicine Seminars IV
Seminars (including Journal Club) focusing upon the assessment and evidence-based management of oral diseases or oral manifestations of systemic diseases. Prerequisite: DENT 723.
