Overview
About
Dr. Christa Aubrey is currently appointed as an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry. She did her medical school and residency in OBGYN at the University of Alberta, and completed the Clinician Investigator Program with a Master of Science in Global Health. She then completed her Gynecologic Oncology fellowship at the University of Calgary, and has been faculty since 2021. She was the OBGYN residency assistant program director from 2022-2024 and has been the program director since 2024.
Research
Research interests include endometrial cancer and obesity, social determinants of heath, gynecologic oncology care in a public healthcare system, qualitative reserach methods, and medical education- in particular the hidden curriculum in postgraduate medical education.
Teaching
Gynecologic oncology and the hidden curriculum at the medical undergraduate and the postgraduate level.
