About

I obtained my medical degree at the University of Alberta and I am presently a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada as a specialist in Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification in Medical Oncology. 
 
In December 2002, I was appointed Director of the Division of Medical Oncology, Department of Oncology and Director of the Department of Medical Oncology at the Cross Cancer Institute, Edmonton.

Research

My practice in medical oncology is dedicated to the management of patients with genito-urinary malignancies.  My academic activities primarily involve clinical research in prostate, renal and bladder cancer.  We work on investigator initiated, cooperative group and industry sponsored studies.  We have a strong clinical research team and a large clinical database that has made a major contribution to a number of clinical research projects.  It has been very gratifying to participate in a number of studies that have lead to meaningful changes in the lives of patients with advanced prostate and renal cell carcinoma.
