Research
Vladimir Rancic currently holds the position of Research Associate in the Department of Physiology in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry. His research is focused in exploring cellular neuroscience with a particular focus on analyzing neuronal networks involved in locomotor activity and regeneration of the damaged circuitry after spinal cord injury. Using spinal cord in vitro preparation isolated from neonatal or adult rodent and combining patch clamp with live calcium imaging he is aiming to dissect the neuronal network and understand the functional role of different neuronal population during locomotor activity.
