About

Dr. Demir is a postdoctoral researcher whose work focuses on applying CRISPR and lectin microarray technologies to investigate glycoenzymes and the molecular mechanisms underlying glycosylation. He received a B.Sc. in Biology, majoring in Molecular Biology and Genetics, followed by an M.Sc. in Molecular Biology. He earned his Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Medicine, where his research focused on artificial intelligence-assisted diagnosis of bladder cancer. His current research combines molecular biology, genome editing, and functional glycobiology to study the role of glycoenzymes in health and disease. His research interests include glycobiology, cancer therapeutics, and translational medicine, with the goal of translating discoveries in benchside into innovative therapeutic strategies that improve patient care.
