I have a particular interest in religious culture, especially the literary culture of Nonconformity and Dissent: its antecedents in the 17C and its global dissemination from the 18C on. Within this field, I have publications and ongoing research relating to women writers, John Milton, John Bunyan, Richard Baxter, and book history/print culture.

The International John Bunyan Society is dedicated to the study of the life and times of John Bunyan (1628-1688). The 9th Triennial Conference of the society will be held at the University of Alberta in August 2019.
