Survey of United States history from colonial times to the Civil War.
HIST 252 - Slavery in the Americas
Comparative examination of slavery in the Western Hemisphere from its creation to abolition.
HIST 351 - History of Women in the United States
A multicultural and multiracial history of women from the colonial period to the present.
HIST 450 - Topics in American History
Prerequisite: 3 units in HIST at the 300-level or consent of Department.
HIST 609 - Directed Study
This credit/fail course is required for students in the thesis-based M.A. program. Students are introduced to scholarship relevant to their research and supported in developing a research proposal.
