About
I am an epidemiologist working for the Centre of Communicable Diseases and Infection Control within the Public Health Agency of Canada. I am based out of the Alberta Provincial Laboratory for Public Health and Alberta Health.
My areas of interest are the surveillance and epidemiology of HIV, sexually transmitted infections and bloodborne pathogens in Alberta and Canada. As such, I participate in several provincial and national surveillance programs for HIV and STBBI.
My specific research interests include:
- prenatal infectious disease screening programs and practice;
- the epidemiology of HIV/STI/BBP among vulnerable populations; and,
- mathematical modeling of disease transmission.
