About

Personal Statement:

I am interested in sleep-disordered breathing, which affects about 10% of the Alberta population. If untreated, severe sleep-disordered breathing is associated with serious health conditions. About 80% of sleep apnea is undiagnosed. One of my interests is collaborating on developing a reliable,  efficient and patient-centred model for diagnosing and managing patients with sleep-disordered breathing.

Dr. Chung is a graduate of the University of British Columbia’s medical school. She completed a residency in Internal Medicine and Respirology at the University of Alberta, followed by a Sleep Medicine fellowship at the Universities of Alberta and Calgary.
