About

Christian Pak (MA, Hong Kong, 2022) is appointed to the position of Project Manager for the Consortium for Distributed and Passive Sensing and the Quantum Horizons Alberta Project of the Department of Physics, where his responsibilities include assistance with project administration, knowledge dissemination events, and strategic development works for both Consortium and Initiative.

In addition to his administrative role, he is also a researcher in East Asian Studies and Comparative Literature.  His main research interest lies in mediaeval Chinese (220-979) literature with a subsidiary interest in Late imperial Chinese fiction.

Research

Under the supervision of Dr. Daniel Fried, my thesis is in conjunction between the poetry of Chen Zi'ang (fl. ca. 658–699), an Early Tang poet, with Daoism. My thesis analyses Chen Zi'ang's Daoist' sensibility throughout his literary writings.
