Research
My team's current research is focused on developing and applying data-analytic methods for understanding genetic contributions to human disease/health, utilizing exceptionally-well characterized, large biological and clinical data. In particular, we are focused on late sequelae of cancer therapies among long-term childhood cancer survivors, utilizing two large cohort studies with the next generation sequencing data, Childhood Cancer Survivor Study and St. Jude Lifetime Cohort Study. See, for example, a current US NIH-funded project my team is working on.
Announcements
Supervision
Currently accepting MSc and PhD students, and postdoctoral fellows with strong backgrounds in quantitative and biological sciences. Please contact me by email if you are an applicant with high potential and interest for research in the intersection of these fields: due to the large number of inquiries I receive, I will only be able to reply to those with sufficient demonstrations of the high potential. All trainees of my research team are supported financially by Graduate Research Assistantship or Postdoctoral Fellowship throughout their tenure in the team, with additional support for attending relevant scientific conferences and necessary work space/computing needs.
