Dr. Chen obtained his medical degree from McGill University, followed by residency training in anatomical pathology at University of Toronto and fellowship training in hematopathology at University of Utah/ARUP Labs. He is board certified in anatomical pathology by the Royal College of Physicians of Canada and the American Board of Pathology, and in hematopathology by the American Board of Pathology.

He currently practices as consultant hematopathologist serving patients in the Edmonton zone and Northern Alberta, specializing in lymphoma diagnostics and flow cytometry. He also practices general surgical pathology, and has a strong interest in training pathology residents and fellows in lymphoma and surgical pathology.

My primary interest is acting as preceptor for pathology residents/fellows and medical students interested in exploring a career in pathology during rotations in hematopathology and surgical pathology.
