Working for the Department/Faculty 

Reporting to the Manager Endpoint Computing, the Endpoint Process Analyst represents Information Services & amp; Technology (IST) as a skilled expert in endpoint processes. Assisting Endpoint leadership with the organization and communication of key services to ensure delivery of excellent service in a timely and efficient manner to clients across the University campuses. The position supports the Endpoint Support and Systems teams by providing ticket queue monitoring and ticket assignment, compiling and executing a new staff and ongoing technical training program, overseeing endpoint-related asset and inventory management, coordinating of a knowledge management process, and contributing to the business processes associated with the campus-wide evergreen program.

Position 

The primary duties of the Endpoint Records Technician is to support the activities and roles of the Endpoint Process Analyst team members. Gather logs and indexes to provide the status of information and accurate retrieval. Assists in filing and retrieving asset information, and maintaining the electronic database. Responsible for equipment operation and processing of materials, documents, or records for the organization's computer-based life cycle operations. This position will assist in the assembly of equipment assets and other information pertaining to new hardware requests. The records technician will provide administrative backup support to the team members within Endpoint Support. There is interaction with various departments throughout the portfolio as well as external partners and stakeholders. Successful implementation and ongoing support of these Endpoint services contribute to a more effective and efficient Endpoint experience across the University.

Duties 

Hardware Standards, Inventory, and Asset Management: (90%)

  • Maintain and administer a hardware inventory to support the break / fix program and net new user requirements.
  • Executes processes associated with the disposal and surplus of aged endpoint-related equipment.
  • Review and analyze documents and enter descriptive and other metadata into information systems;
  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure the integrity of documents, electronic images, and/or records metadata;
  • Control data quality;
  • Respond to questions from end users or redirect to subject matter experts;
  • Think analytically (proactive, engaged);
  • Recognize conflicting data prior to entry;
  • Solve problems;
  • Manage time multitask;
  • Accumulate statistics;
  • Respond to specific requests by searching, locating, retrieving, and delivering records or information through established procedures in a timely manner.

As a member of Support Services: (10%)

  • Attend regular administrative team staff meetings;
  • Provides backup and assistance to Process Analyst and administrative team members as required.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with Google G-Suite is an asset.
  • Demonstrated analytical and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and intuitive and empathetic listening skills.
  • Innovative self-starter, with the ability to manage priorities and workloads under pressure.
  • Strong team player who can solve business issues and think “out of the box”.
