Working for the ONEcard Program

The ONEcard program is a campus-wide University service responsible for delivering campus card services to cardholders, University departments/ faculties, external partners (merchants and contracted services) and the University community at large. This position reports to the Manager and oversees one full-time positions as well as up to 20 part-time contracted workers.

Position 

The Team Lead oversees operations at the central ONEcard Service Centre while also managing satellite centres across multiple campuses through agreements with partners such as the Students' Union and Augustana Campus. This position is responsible for leading the front-line operation of the InfoLink ONEcard Service Centre, while ensuring front-line customer service for students, staff, alumni and visitors as part of the Campus Services portfolio.

The Team Lead provides leadership and supervision to a team of support staff. Assists team members in understanding assigned roles and performance objectives. Strives to build a collaborative team through guidance, training, and mentorship.

Duties 

  • Develop and implement program procedures that are compliant with University policy and industry standards (i.e. Information Privacy Policy and Payment Card Industry standards).
  • Manage day-to-day operations and special events for card distribution.
  • Represents area on university committees and working groups.
  • Manage all aspects of one service centre and provide program oversight in satellite service centres for campus credential, printing services and laundry services, including, but not limited to the ONEcard Merchant Program, ONEcard Access Program, ONEcard Print and ONEcard Meal Plan.
  • Manage daily financial processes by performing end-of-day closing, reconciliation, and daily deposits
  • Manages cash handling and credit/debit receipts, collection and reporting
  • Coordinates team activities based on area prioritizations. Keeps team focused and on track by assigning and allocating work to team members. Matches work to appropriate team member(s).

Qualifications

  • Two-year diploma preferably in a business administration or administration-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of using enterprise application software such as TouchNet ONEcard system, PeopleSoft ERP or similar enterprise systems
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite and Google Applications including, Google Mail, Documents, Sheets, Sites and Forms
  • Understanding of the University of Alberta's policies and procedures.
  • Financial reconciliation experience
  • Customer focused and oriented
