Location - This role is in-person. Work primarily takes place at North Campus and South Campus, Edmonton.

Golden Bears & Pandas Athletics is the varsity department for the University of Alberta, and falls within the Dean of Students portfolio.

Golden Bears & Pandas Athletics is one of Canada’s premier intercollegiate programs. The UofA competes in the Canada West conference, which resides under the U SPORTS national body. We are home to 22 teams and over 500 student athletes. We compete in the sports of basketball, cross-country, curling, football, gold, ice hockey, rugby, soccer, tennis, track & field, volleyball, and wrestling. It is our vision to be recognized locally, nationally and internationally as a leader in the pursuit and achievement of excellence in sport.

Position

Athletics is currently seeking energetic, customer service oriented, team members to join our Account Executive team for the 2025-26 conference season and playoffs. Reporting to the Event Ticketing Lead, the Account Executive is responsible for the sale of ticket packages and group sales for Golden Bears & Pandas Athletics. Shifts are typically scheduled for Friday and Saturday evenings throughout the course of the season (mid-August - March), with some weekday office hours available.

Duties

  • Participates in Ticket Package and Group Sales.
  • Provides ticketing services at venue box office on Game Days (Friday and Saturday nights).
  • Provides customer service for incoming inquiries (occasional office hours if desired).
  • Shows strong time management skills to balance workload between ticket packages and group sales initiatives.
  • Outbound phone calls and emailing to connect with B2C clients.
  • Builds relationships with new and existing customers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Be willing to work weekends and evenings; all Golden Bears & Pandas ticketed events including playoffs and non-conference events.
  • Must be driven and self motivated.
  • Must have strong relationship building skills.
  • Must have effective oral and written communication skills in addition to a strong telephone presence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sales experience is an asset.
  • Experience with CRM software and/or Ticketmaster Archtics is an asset.
